Final proposal for $LINEA Airdrop eligibility and distribution base on community feedback!$$$$

interessting, filter the bot its important

It totally base on your contribution. As you said, you dont have time for Linea but why you are asking for a big reward and the other who spent much more time in these task receive less?

I think we should remove users under 2000 lxp, most of them are people who do not contribute to building the project, do not contribute just for the purpose of receiving airdrop rewards and selling, another part is that these people are bots.

I am not saying not to reward based on contribution but at least it should be linear to the LXPs and not exponential as per your design. Why a user with 2000 LXPs will earn 100$ while a user who did a double effort and got 4000 LXPs will earn 1300$? did the 2nd user make 13 times more effort to earn those LXPs?! Same applies all all the tiers you have proposed. You made it exponential rewarding when it should simply be a linear based on ur LXPs. Yes they should put a minimum LXPs holding threashold for eligibility but your rewarding design is poor AF

It was very easy to achieve 2000LXP, it cost you 20$ and few hours only. But if you want to achieve more than 4000LXP, you have to put much more effort into it and of course the gas fee you paid was a lot.

I have more than 8,000 LXP, so from a personal benefit standpoint, I would vote for the proposal to only airdrop tokens to those who hold more than 8,000 LXP.

This benefits me, but it would not be good for Linea. Take recent failures, like ZK, for example. Tokens were distributed primarily to a small group of users who ended up dumping them entirely. The token price plummeted, the community turned its back on the project, and ultimately, only the Sybil accounts benefited. (Many Sybil wallets in LayerZero’s list were among the top recipients of ZK airdrops.)

In my opinion, the portion of tokens allocated for airdrops should be decentralized to the maximum extent possible with the following initiatives:

  • The more people eligible to receive airdrops, the stronger our community becomes. (Linea’s airdrop pool is large enough to make this feasible.)
  • Reduce the number of airdropped tokens for top-tier recipients to a reasonable level. I believe $5,000 worth of tokens for top recipients is fair. A range of $200–$5,000 per wallet would satisfy the majority of the community.
  • Expand the group eligible for airdrops to include individuals who didn’t participate in the LXP hunting campaigns but have been actively contributing to Linea.
  • Implement a multiplier mechanism to increase LXP points for those who engage in activities like NFT trading or creating memes …(outside of Linea’s Voyage events).

Additionally, I believe the tier-based point allocation system is unnecessary and lacks fairness. For example, someone with 3,999 LXP and another with 4,000 LXP have nearly identical levels of participation in the project. However, if they fall into different tiers, the disparity in the number of tokens they receive is disproportionately large.

Could work, perhaps something more simple, and with further LXP LXP-L tweaks.

Amazing, i hope in this

I propose a fairer and more inclusive alternative for the distribution of the Airdrop in the Linea ecosystem, focusing on the group of users who have accumulated LXP.

I agree with setting a minimum cut-off point, such as the proposed 2000 LXP or whatever the team decides, as it ensures that only active and genuine users participate.

Criticisms of the Tiers model for LXP:

Injustice in proportionality:

Grouping users with similar points into equal tiers ignores significant differences in their effort. For example, someone with 2001 LXP would receive the same as someone with 2999 LXP, which is unfair.
Reasonable difference in LXP:

LXP wallets present moderate differences. The average is 2020 LXP, with only about 1300 wallets exceeding 8000 LXP, while the highest has close to 12,000 LXP. This range does not justify a tier-based system; proportionality can handle it better.
Proposal: Proportional distribution for LXP

The proportional model allocates rewards based on the percentage of LXP accumulated by each user relative to the total. Thus, if a user has 1% of the total LXP, they will receive 1% of the fund allocated to the LXP pool.

Why is it the most suitable model?

Fairness:

It recognizes the contribution of each user, proportionally rewarding both those who put in the most effort and those who did the least.
Simplicity and transparency:

It is easy to understand and builds trust in the community.
Inclusion:

It avoids demotivating differences, ensuring an equitable experience for all participants.
Note on LXP-L:

This proposal applies only to the distribution of the LXP pool. For LXP-L, where the proportions are wider and the differences between users are exorbitant, a model based on levels (Tiers) would be more suitable.

Conclusion:
The proportional model ensures fairness and directly reflects the effort of each user, strengthening motivation and trust in the ecosystem

rank 10k and 50k earning the same amt of tokens is nonsense.

The reward ratio for LXP-L is too high. The LXP pool should not be less than 70%, as LXP activities have lasted for over a year.

LOL Lxp and Lxp-L are almost equal. Are you okay? Look at the tiers.in lxp-l the highest tier gets the most money.in lxp it’s lower than that.man why are you guys making such weird suggestions.it’s been said at least 100 times that lxp will be worth much more.maybe half the value of lxp-l

I don’t like it. Strange gaps between tiers, very small rewards for <3k LXP, so you better either delete all below 3k and redistribute their rewards to top tiers or give them more from top tiers otherwise.

Giving additional allocation for private testnet is also nonsense. They got their reward: 100 LXP, that’s it. You also want to give them 250 tokens, which is twice as much as you want to give as base allo for wallets with 2k+ lxp (113). Gaining LXP before Dencun is also doomed idea, make a multiplyer, not absolute number 500 which is 20% bigger than initial allo for 3k+ LXP. No logic in additionally rewarding NFT hodlers either. They got their rewards from latest LXP distribution. Rewarding them more makes no sense. OG Ethereum ? For what ? For their 0 transactions and 0 interactions on Linea? So they bridge 3$ and withdraw their 2k Linea to CEX as fast as they realise they are eligible ? Man, 2k, are you serious ? So you propose gibing 2k tokens to a person who could never interact with Linea and give 113 tokens for a person who managed to collect 2k+ LXP ?

All your bonus ideas are awful, makes no sense

This is excellent! It would be fantastic if it was adopted.

I have written another post with more precisely

Hi guys, I am Dragon!

I have a proposal for Airdrop for further discussion. We are close to get expected airdrop. Linea fans like me who are interested in Linea ecosystem and LXP campaigns and sustainability will hold tokens thus participating all DAO events and ecosystem growth after the airdrop.

Incentive proposal:

I would suggest bonus reward for loyal users who have been participated since testnet phase.

Centralization Risks: Rewarding users who having less than 2000 LXP could inadvertently create a centralized system.

Incentive Imbalance: Linear reward distribution could create an imbalance in incentives. This may frustrate old/loyal users as they may feel disadvantaged in comparison to new users who are paying less gas-fee to receive LXP.

Short-term Focus: Building the TIERS program which might be a sustainable solution to address Sybil attacks and airdrop hunters. My thoughts on TIER program should be as below:

LXP Tiers Incentive - Program:
Tier 1: 5500 < LXP COUNT
Tier 2: 4000 < LXP COUNT < 5500
Tier 3: 3000 < LXP COUNT < 4000
Tier 4: 2000 < LXP COUNT < 3000

LXP-L Tiers Incentive - Program:
Tier 1: Top 10000 users
Tier 2: 10000 < Ranking < 30000
Tier 3: 30000 < Ranking < 100000
Tier 4: 100000 < Ranking < 200000

Implementing a “loyalty program” with specific rules and requirements after the Airdrop. For whom not eligible in any tiers group above can participate and get more points for future rewards. It is essential to consider the potential issues and long-term implications before implementing such a program. It is crucial to find a balance that encourages long-term growth and stability while maintaining an inclusive and decentralized ecosystem.

This is the good and fair method. I agree with your proposal. However, I propose the bonus for top 500-1k wallet, who contribute their time and finance to the project. Below that, Tier division as your post is very good.

That 's good point also

Fair distribution is main key to be a successfull project at TGE so I totally agree with this proposal!!

Thank you so much for taking the time; you’ve prepared a generally accurate and well-thought-out set of criteria. However, I have some suggestions and changes I’d like to propose:

  1. The 5,500 LXP threshold for the first tier seems low. The wallet with the highest LXP currently holds over 12,500 LXP, and as you’d agree, earning the additional 7,000 LXP was not easy. Additionally, the Dune Dashboard shows that there are approximately 20,700 wallets with over 6,000 LXP. In short, instead of a 4-tier system, a 5- or even 6-tier system could be more appropriate.

  2. Suggestions for additional rewards or multiplier criteria to identify organic and daily users:

    • Participation in Private Testnet
    • Attendance at IRL events
    • Ownership of ENS + Linea subdomains
    • Forum activity
    • Wallet metrics: age, active days, transaction count, number of contracts
    • Contract creation
    • Attestation of Digital Sovereignty
    • Community members/supporters (some examples that come to mind):
      • Efrogs
      • Efroglets
      • Croak
      • Foxy
      • StationX (Notwifgary + Efrogs)
      • Linus
      • Blitzbotz
      • Toad
      • Unfettered
      • Phosphor
      • Yooldo
      • Participants of BOL and LOL events

I’d also like to include Metamask Card users, but since the number of active regions is currently limited, it may not be fair.

  3. Post-tokenization, having a “Linea OG SBT”-style NFT by burning/merging my Voyage NFTs could also be quite cool.
