Final proposal for $LINEA Airdrop eligibility and distribution base on community feedback!$$$$

SCR is a failed project. Why imitate them?

I propose a fairer and more inclusive alternative for the distribution of the Airdrop in the Linea ecosystem, focusing on the group of users who have accumulated LXP.

I agree with setting a minimum cut-off point, such as the proposed 2000 LXP or whatever the team decides, as it ensures that only active and genuine users participate.

Criticisms of the Tiers model for LXP:

Injustice in proportionality:

Grouping users with similar points into equal tiers ignores significant differences in their effort. For example, someone with 2001 LXP would receive the same as someone with 2999 LXP, which is unfair.
Reasonable difference in LXP:

LXP wallets present moderate differences. The average is 2020 LXP, with only about 1300 wallets exceeding 8000 LXP, while the highest has close to 12,000 LXP. This range does not justify a tier-based system; proportionality can handle it better.
Proposal: Proportional distribution for LXP

The proportional model allocates rewards based on the percentage of LXP accumulated by each user relative to the total. Thus, if a user has 1% of the total LXP, they will receive 1% of the fund allocated to the LXP pool.

Why is it the most suitable model?

Fairness:

It recognizes the contribution of each user, proportionally rewarding both those who put in the most effort and those who did the least.
Simplicity and transparency:

It is easy to understand and builds trust in the community.
Inclusion:

It avoids demotivating differences, ensuring an equitable experience for all participants.
Note on LXP-L:

This proposal applies only to the distribution of the LXP pool. For LXP-L, where the proportions are wider and the differences between users are exorbitant, a model based on levels (Tiers) would be more suitable.

Conclusion:
The proportional model ensures fairness and directly reflects the effort of each user, strengthening motivation and trust in the ecosystem.

these strict tiers are good until you miss the above tier by just some points - they are not really good.

Hey man!

  1. The 5,500 LXP threshold for the first tier seems low. The wallet with the highest LXP currently holds over 12,500 LXP, and as you’d agree, earning the additional 7,000 LXP was not easy. Additionally, the Dune Dashboard shows that there are approximately 20,700 wallets with over 6,000 LXP. In short, instead of a 4-tier system, a 5- or even 6-tier system could be more appropriate.

My response to this would be : Let’s not forget that only the ones with a big budget managed to get over 10000 LXP, and this is because they bought Linea Testnet Voyage. I do think that the team made a mistake when they allocated LXP for every NFT, even if they set a maximum LXP received for those. I do think that we can all agree that the ones who gathered that much LXP was just because they had liquidity, not because they did something special for the project. To be clear, I am talking about the difference between those who gathered LXP in campaigns and Linea Testnet NFT buyers, otherwise there wouldn’t be so much difference between them. I am talking about those between 5500 LXP holders to 12500 maximum. Let’s not forget that the maximum LXP that a user had at the date of the snapshot was 7317 and had the opportunity to gather another maximum 7317 LXP, was because he had money in his bags.

Its a good proposition!!

Respectfully, every bad super complicated idea I see is coming from an efrog.
You want to basically penalize lxp holders unless they have also done a huge number of additional random things, or of course hold an efrog.

How about you don’t and just do a good regular drop that won’t leave people disgusted in the end and destroy the last hope of the community that they won’t get screwed in the end.

Its very simple, reward lxp holders. Reward lxp-l holders with a separate amount.
Linea will salvage maximum user sentiment and have the best chance at actually succeeding going forward.

People already got lxp for attending irl events. I’m sure some amount extra will be giving to efrogs regardless so don’t worry about getting your extra.

Lxp IS the loyalty program, stop making up new stuff to benefit yourself without thinking about what the actual impact on the whole community will be. All I see in these proposals is micro management to favor themselves mostly which will absolutely leave the vast majority of the community very salty.

Respectfully, LXP reaches 1.2M people, and LXP-L reaches 2M. If we sum up the durations of the campaigns where these were earned, it would total about 4–5 months. We’ve been on the mainnet for 1.5 years, so of course, it would’ve been foolish to remain idle during the rest of the time. As such, the situation isn’t just about LXP and LXP-L, as you’ve mentioned. Even these two criteria have their own distinctions:

  • LXP earnings before Dencun and, while not in the thousands, multi-account usage…
  • In LXP-L, there’s a minority holding nearly 20% of the total supply, who contributed nothing to the network’s growth beyond providing short-term (few days) liquidity.

I’m not sorry for proposing new criteria to distinguish organic users and protect their rights in both LXP and LXP-L earnings.

In cases involving so many variables and participants, I’ve seen many examples where simple, straightforward solutions don’t work well.

I honestly have no interest in gaining extra rewards. With my single account and organic usage, I’ve been with Linea for 1.5 years, and I’m active across the entire network. What I write is for the benefit of the average real user. These criteria are only examples—I’m not a decision-maker, nor do I have access to the data for analysis. All we’re doing here is discussing and sharing our perspectives on the forum.

If you’d like, you can also take the time to share your own ideas and system to gather feedback. I’d be happy to review it.

Lastly, the author of this post has already shared an updated version based on community feedback. While we can’t know the exact points, weights, or bonus criteria, there are two updated proposals available in other posts. I recommend you check those out as well.

@LetmeCook Have moved all the posts from your other posts into this one. Unfortunately wasn’t possible to preserve chronological order for them, so for your info, as you suggested and for everyone else to be aware of. Keeping feedback concentrated and organized in relevant posts helps with the flow of discussions.

Thank you for your proposal. In my opinion, there are two criteria I disagree with. The IRL events and the testnet participants. Both of these have already been rewarded with LXPs, so adding them again as on-chain activities would be duplicating benefits.

agree bro. Some items should be rectified. However, overall, This is the good proposal

this is a good one. What is the total supply of linea tokens in this proposal?

This proposal is good

balanced approach bro

maybe linea team can give some extra points for those got hurt with

  • velocore hack
    *linea soldier minters
    *alien (inscription) minters
    *wizoflinea minters
    *dino404 minters
the projects above are very quiet for a long time. being active onchain has its downsides like this which is normal but most of these projects promoted by team related X accounts. If the linea team can exclude team wallets and filter out organic users/buyers/minters they deserve few points too imho

No. Bad idea. Already a lot of participants in LXP and LXP-L campaigns, nothing is left to share

This is a very reasonable idea that can both filter out bots and create fairness for users.

Gaining lxp before Denkum? Some have small lxp, Y not 5 to 10 transactions or certain amounts of lxps. Transactions will also include the people that used the network before the upgrade
