I Understand and Appreciate the Testnet, But Linea Means More
I’ve experienced everything you mentioned firsthand. I fully understand the challenges of the testnet days, the tedious tasks on Galxe, and the necessity of buying Geth. I know how exhausting that process was, and I completely get where you’re coming from.
But that was just one phase of the journey. Linea’s growth and the development of its community aren’t limited to what was done during the testnet. What matters now is that those who have been the most active and contributed the most to the network deserve better rewards. Because Linea isn’t just about testnet tasks; it’s about living and engaging with an ecosystem as a whole.
While I respect the value of the testnet experience, it’s crucial to understand that Linea is more than just a past testing phase. It’s about actively participating and truly living within the network as it evolves. And this should be reflected in the reward system as well.
Yeah, of course.
The <2,000 holders of efrog NFTs are “loyal” contributors while others are “farmers” and “do not bring any value” to the Linea ecosystem.
We all know how this ends; the price of those NFTs would tank by 90% after either snapshot has been announced or tokenomics has been released but “farmers” would continue using dapps in the ecosystem because that’s what they know how to do best.
If I was holding any of those NFTs, I would also want all the Linea tokens for myself so I understand your pov but everyone should be treated equal.
Due to your chosen manner of communication, I’ll allow myself to say this is complete nonsense. Don’t make things up and don’t attribute your fantasies to others.
There are plenty of loyal contributors in Linea.
The Linea community is very large.
The most active part of the community is deeply involved in the ecosystem: NFTs, memes, participation in ecosystem projects.
There’s more than one NFT project in Linea (oh, what a shock, buddy—yes, the community is vast, and they will clearly be rewarded).
The most active community has strong on-chain activity, LXP, and other attributes.
eFrogs is an OG NFT collection, where most holders have the highest LXP, the best on-chain activity, and they form the core of other communities.
Farmers are an essential part of network testing and early development and clearly deserve rewards too.
It’s entirely logical and obvious that if a user farmed LXP, participated in most activities, followed the ecosystem closely, lived in it, earned within it, helped it grow (not just by clicking instructions), supported ecosystem projects, tested projects during private test rounds, joined all AMAs, contributed to community life, and filled the ecosystem with life and meaning, they deserve a greater reward and are worthy of receiving bonuses.
In your attack USER #NNNNNN, the answer is already there. Holders of OG collections are indeed very few, and in relation to the number of drop hunters, they are practically insignificant. Therefore, speculating about NFTs is illogical and absolutely unproductive for your wallet, as it’s clear that nothing beyond this question concerns you.
Once again. NFT holders are the same participants of the Linea network, but have an additional contribution to the development of the community. Your manipulations on the topic only cause laughter. Stop it
I don’t need to go back and forth to start arguing with you.
I’ll come back to this after the floor price of your nft(efrogs) has tanked by 90% because snapshot has been announced (currently 0.45eth as I’m typing this)
For now, enjoy yourself.
Does selling NFTs after the announcement of a snapshot or TGE somehow disprove the community’s contribution to the ecosystem? It’s absolutely clear that many people hold their NFTs in anticipation of a drop, as this is an OG NFT collection, and everyone understands how important that is. It’s unclear why you’re even bringing this up.
This is entirely a question of the ecosystem project itself and its ability to transition to the next phase of life after the TGE. But what does this have to do with bonuses and rewards?
The only people being manipulative here are the holders of efrogs nft that are trying to bully Linea team with words like “OG nft” while calling every other person “farmers” in order to receive the lion share of Linea tokens
Lol, another brave warrior fell victim to his own ignorance.
They all have greed and their own opinions, yet they won’t even spare a couple of days to truly understand where they work, what they’re dealing with, or what Linea actually represents. It’s hilarious how they’re all united by one thought: to cut any allocations outside of LXP activities. After all, they didn’t do anything else themselves, and they were the ones crying the most about ending the LXP seasons.
But you really are posting cringe and fabrications, that’s a fact that is verified by studying the Linea ecosystem. “He” clearly wasn’t trying to offend you with this.
Yeah, exactly I agree. The “loyal” 2,000 efrog holders get all the rewards while the actual users who drive activity get scraps? We all know how this plays out NFT pumps, insiders dump, and the real contributors keep the ecosystem alive. Farmers, builders, and active users bring value every day, not just when there’s a snapshot. If fairness is the goal, rewards should go to those who actually use and grow Linea, not just those who bought a ticket to the VIP section.
Holding an NFT in anticipation of a drop isn’t contribution it’s speculation. Let’s not pretend otherwise. If the value of these NFTs tanks right after a snapshot or TGE, that proves most holders were just waiting for an exit, not actively building the ecosystem.
Real contribution comes from those using dApps, providing liquidity, engaging in governance, and helping the network grow beyond a single event. Rewarding people for holding an asset instead of actually participating creates a short-term pump, not long-term value. That’s not manipulation—it’s just reality.
Maybe you should take a step back and think about the bigger picture. It’s not about rehashing the same points, it’s about ensuring a fair system where real contributions are valued, not just speculative investments.
If the same issues keep coming up, it’s because they still need addressing. Instead of shutting down the conversation, maybe it’s time to reflect on how the system can actually work for everyone, not just those with NFTs.
Nice try, but speculating doesn’t equal contributing. If you think rewarding just holders is fair, maybe you’re the one missing the point. LXP trading doesn’t justify rewarding passive NFT holders over real contributors. And calling me a “drop hunter” is rich coming from someone defending the status quo. Let’s see how that “OG” community fares when real participation actually gets the rewards it deserves.
His doubt makes sense. I participate in a paid group for airdrop tasks in my country, and many users only farmed LXP and never interacted with Linea again to complete tasks, participate in events, or own NFTs, among other activities.
And let’s be honest: LXP-L means absolutely nothing since all you had to do was leave the money sitting there and forget about it on any platform (and I did that for six months too). But going back to the point, many who focused solely on obtaining LXP also felt wronged when rumors surfaced that those who own NFTs and participated in events would be rewarded.
Not that they’re wrong, as they are simply looking out for their own interests, but it’s easy to focus only on LXP, ignore everything else, and then claim to be contributors to the ecosystem when, in reality, they just farmed LXP and never interacted with the network again.
