Consensys already did same thing in 2023 by giving fake hope for Metamask airdrop.
I spent more than $100 as fee to swap/bridge on Metamask. The fee and slippage was at least 10 times more expensive than other dapps.

Without a doubt, the NFT holders from Linea’s initial campaign must have privileges. Those were already NFTs that had great economic value and were kept in the different wallets.
Holders of NFTs from the initial campaign should be considered for benefits beyond the airdrop, since they didn’t rush out and sell their NFTs after the snapshots.
If you believe NFTs add zero value, what’s stopping you from jumping into one of these communities and helping guide it toward genuine utility?
NFT communities have been rewarded in the past, so if Linea does that, they won’t actually be the first, it’s a proven way of rewarding the core believers on-chain.
While majority of this LXP farmers were gone, this NFT communities kept Linea alive and buzzling and u said they add no real value?
