Wallets that have been hacked should be excluded from airdrop

Wallets accessed through “AdsPower Browser” were compromised, resulting in the loss of crypto assets, which were drained to a hacker’s wallet address.

The official announcement from “AdsPower Browser” identified the hacker’s address as:
0xf772Be79Bd6D1F4316e938C6c40cF68CF6911c81

Over ten thousand Linea wallets have been affected by this breach. Since the seed phrases of the compromised wallets have already been stolen, it is critical for the Linea team to exclude these hacked wallets from the airdrop lists.

Failing to do so would result in a significant amount of $LINEA tokens being allocated to hackers, posing serious risks to the ecosystem, including:

  • Decentralization concerns: The concentration of tokens in the hacker’s possession undermines the integrity of the network.
  • Market stability risks: A massive sell-off during the TGE (Token Generation Event) could exert immense downward pressure on the token’s value, destabilizing the market.

Excluding compromised wallets is essential to protect the ecosystem’s health and ensure fair token distribution.

This is a critical and highly important issue, and community engagement and support would be greatly appreciated.

I completely agree with your opinion.

I’m unfamiliar with that browser, as I’ve never heard of it before. However, if a wallet has been hacked and its key has been stolen, those wallets should absolutely be excluded from the reward lists. The allocation assigned to hacked wallets should be redistributed to the community, similar to how sybil wallet allocations are handled. @dfox

I support your idea. The purpose of using Ads Browser is pretty obvious. To farm airdrop with multiple account. Hacked wallets must be excluded from reward lists.

How is fair to the users who had their wallet hacked. Just for your gains you want the community to suffer? They can change their airdrop wallet in discord or get them in exchanges. Just remember, someday you too might be falling to such kind of a hack.

PS : I am not in the list of hacked wallets.

Not possible. Please provide an example of a previous Layer 2 airdrop where this action was taken. To my knowledge, projects lack the capability to directly replace compromised wallets. Verifying the legitimacy of each compromised wallet and issuing replacements is an incredibly complex and resource-intensive process, which explains why this approach has not been implemented in past airdrops

I feel sad to see that there are hacked Linean just before TGE. But I think it is not possible to save them. Wallet key is already stolen and it is hard to recognize who is the real owner of the wallets. I heard that there are more than 10,000 wallets hacked. There is lack of resource to handle that even if replacement is possible. The easiest way now is to delete the compromised wallets address from airdrop. I am not trying to be mean but that is the only feasible way to solve the problem now.

Hacked software for multi-account users ADS. 1.5M + $$$ LINEA
. You should blacklist all these wallets (from which the drain occurred) as they all belong to drop hunters using special anti-detect software.

These are the wallets of drop hunters, and they need to be blacklisted by all protocols. There’s no need to pity them.

If the list of hacked wallets is already out there then the team should think about removing those wallets from airdrop list.

They have their twitter, discords and secondary accounts linked. How can you say that these ppl cant be included. They have connected those accounts on PoH.

Lol. How is a hacked wallet an airdrop hunter. Have a basic idea about blockchain and decentralization and talk about it later. Personally I do have benefits if these wallets are blacklisted but the forum is to decide whats good for Linea and not for users like me and you who have passed the Sybil checks.

You’re so dumb, you managed to read between the lines? The app that was hacked was only used by airdrop hunters. Where do you geniuses in these discussions even come from?

Thanks for the report. Looks like lots of compromised wallets had similar amounts of ETH, with even similar ENS domains lol. Probably already tagged by the recent sybil report.

Lol, those aren’t balances; it’s just how the hackers’ drainer is configured. Check two wallets and see for yourself—they didn’t even drain them completely.

As Discord channel pointed out, I think we better say those hacked wallet must be removed from eligibility list not because they all are sybils but to avoid hacker will get huge amount of airdrop from TGE. Once the wallets are hacked, it doesn’t matter if they all are sybils or not. The point is regardless of any factors, those wallet must be removed from airdrop list.

Something needs to be done about these wallets. The rewards shouldn’t go straight to the thieves.

@Loza
Just add the ability to claim rewards using another wallets. In general drainers quite seldom claim airdrops if there’s no configured stealer on each wallet. Jupiter allowed its users on TGE to claim rewards via different wallets

Not only those from ADS have suffered from hacks. Always remember, there’s always one day in history when you can be in their place

This hacked browser is purely software for creating and managing multi-accounts. 99.9% of its users are Sybils, and it’s a stroke of luck that they were hacked, helping to clean the market before the TGE.

Granting an airdrop to these wallets on Linea’s part would be a grave mistake. The funds would end up in the hands of Sybils or hackers/thieves. This would not be about decentralization or rightful rewards but rather a sheer loss of funds and additional market pressure, as these individuals would immediately sell the tokens as soon as they could.

Below is the list of wallets belonging to the perpetrators where funds from the hacked wallets were transferred. Use this to identify addresses to add to the filter. Please take this seriously.

And yes, I did the analysis and I see that the guys know that they are being discussed in the discord and on the forum and send their “undercover agents” here to protect their wallets under manipulation. Please be critical of all defenders of the idea of preserving the airdrop to these wallets.
