Hi, could you elaborate a bit on how did you do the transaction exactly? Did you send USDT from your address to your address on ethereum mainnet (same address from and to) as one account’s address is the same across all networks? because if you did that your tokens could still be at your address on ethereum mainnet.
But if you sent the tokens to the USDT token’s contract address then I’m afraid there’s not a lot you can do as reverting transactions is impossible, you could still try to reach out to the team behind the token and explain to them what you did if you’re in this situation to see if there’s anything they can do regarding this but please remember to always be careful who and what you interact with online and always do your own research before doing anything.
Before I reach out to the linea team (was in a 1h waiting loop with the MM team),
what would be a way to recover the tokens since they are on the same address?
The tokens didn’t leave the address from what I see so they’re part of the total USDT you hold, you just paid the gas fee for the transaction in ETH to send tokens from yourself to yourself. To move tokens across chains you need to bridge.
Lesson 09 from learn. metamask .io is great if you want to learn about bridging, and the learn platform overall is great, highly recommend it.
Thank you and I hope you have a great Sunday as well
