I really liked your proposal overall, the points system and other factors, so far it’s the best I’ve seen, very good.
LeChiffre,
I’ve read your so-called “optimal” proposal, and honestly, it’s absurd on so many levels that I’m left wondering if you even understand the ecosystem you’re trying to structure rewards for.
Do you have any idea how much time, effort, and resources were poured into accumulating 6,000+ LXP? People who’ve been with Linea from the start through testnet and mainnet, didn’t just stumble upon this. They earned it by actively engaging and building the ecosystem. And you’re telling me that someone who buys a random Frog NFT or throws money at liquidity for a few weeks deserves the same or more points than those who’ve consistently supported Linea for years? Are you even serious?
Let’s talk about your socalled “multipliers.” Rewarding 5 points for an NFT collection is the equivalent of spitting in the face of the people who’ve done the heavy lifting for Linea. How do you justify equating 6,000+ LXP, earned through years of engagement, to some speculative garbage like an NFT? You’ve clearly ignored the blood, sweat, and time spent by contributors who’ve supported Linea without chasing gimmicky tokens or NFTs.
And then there’s your laughable liquidity provision logic. According to your proposal, a whale can drop in, park money for a month, and walk away with more points than someone who’s spent two years building Linea from the ground up. This rewards nothing but opportunistic behavior while punishing genuine contributors. It’s ridiculous.
Your “community bonus” is equally flawed. Foxy and Efrog? Are you joking? Why are you creating a club for select groups while excluding others who’ve contributed just as much, if not more? This favoritism is toxic and undermines the very community you claim to support.
And the cherry on top? Your tier gaps are designed to frustrate people who are just a few points short of advancing, while letting whales and NFT flippers game the system. It’s like you went out of your way to alienate the core supporters of Linea.
Your proposal is nothing more than a slap in the face to everyone who has invested in this ecosystem with time, effort, and real commitment. It’s not just flawed it’s insulting. If Linea adopts anything remotely close to this nonsense, you can expect to lose the very community that made this project what it is.
Do better.
Sincerely,
Someone who actually understands Linea
5 points for having 1 nft and also 5 points for 6k lxp? that’s just a bad joke
Guys, in the Sybil community, after the publication of the appeal form, many learned about this forum. Across various chats, there are calls to attack this forum, reduce any allocations unrelated to LXP, and incite conflicts within the community to distract everyone from the main issue under this guise.
Please be cautious. These deceitful people have more than enough resources to create numerous accounts on forums, social networks, and other platforms, and they won’t hesitate to spend time on this, as they are currently at a loss after their mass wallets were blocked.
This behavior is vile, malicious, and goes against the spirit of Linea. The closer we get to the TGE date, the more intense this will become.
@dfox, please keep this in mind.
this is true i just got attacked too
Linea, please keep pushing back against the Sybils. The fact that they are ramping up their outcry only proves that you’re on the right track. Carefully review the appeal forms - they are already abusing them.
Pay attention to yesterday’s AdsPower breach. It’s a ready-made database of Sybils that needs to be filtered out. Share this database with Nansen so they can identify even more wallets following these patterns.
But please, don’t let the community suffer. These scoundrels have flooded everything with their negativity - Discord, the forum. Nothing but lies and toxicity.
They are also all over the forum spamming with useless talks just to divert the main topics
Another classic example, hahaha, oh my, how stupid this is. An attack on the community, and right after, in a neighboring topic, lobbying for obvious Sybil interests. I think everyone has noticed how recently there have been more and more posts on the forum suggesting that points should be awarded for 3, 6, or 12 months, for the number of transactions, and the number of contracts.
Linea team, please remain critical of these individuals. No one has seen them in the community before, and they appeared here on the forum for the first time and immediately went on the attack. This is not the will or desire of the community. This is exactly what we need to fight against in order to improve the distribution and the future prospects of the project in the market.
What’s truly amusing is that these not-so-smart individuals only know about this suggestion from the current author. Why? Because a screenshot of it spread across all the Sybil/drophunter groups on Twitter.
I’ve also seen plenty of calls to discredit the community and push for reducing allocations and bonuses outside of LXP activities. These saboteurs have no place here - let them go to the hell!
please make your comment more polite, dont call others “stupid”. That just makes you look uneducated. This is the opened forum and everyone are welcome to share their idea. Thank you
Linea is more than just LXP!!! this particular statement
Of course, Linea has a community movement that should be rewarded. But I don’t think you’re talking about that in this context.
Rewarding farmers of on-chain transaction statistics would be a mistake.
In this context, the person is referring to behavior as an approach to handling matters, rather than discussing a specific individual. I believe this is appropriate given the context of the aggressive nature of sybil attacks on the forum and Discord.
That’s correct, as it’s essential to nitpick words while valuables and furniture are being taken out of your apartment Priorities…
do you understand my statement. I dont comment about sybil, reward or any thing. I’m just talking about the basics, politeness in communication.
I think you should share the data which you have researched and shared on X. Make a new post here regarding your in-depth research. Also, kindly request the Linea team to use verified sybil list used during Layerzero Airdrop. Most of the wallets which marked as sybil in Layerzero still not flagged as sybil. LayerZero Identified 800,000+ Sybil Addresses in Public List.
Linea Team can also use Debank’s sybil dataset, which includes recently identified sybil wallets.
So you just bought a frog nft and you expect a top tier allocation?
Regarding this airdrop distribution example I still consider it’s a bad joke to match users with 6k lxp with the ones that bought a frog nft.
In the second post I mentioned to be a metamask card user, that requires kyc and you call that “lobbying for sybils”.To me a real users is also someone who kept using the network after all the lxp campaigns ended, if you used the network ONLY during that time you are more likely a sybil.
I have 0 mention of 3,6,12 months of activity/number of transactions/etc you just made that up.
I explained all this without calling you “stupid”.
Just look up the definition of “bonus” in the dictionary and then reflect on topics like multipliers and other factors. Obviously, expecting something for a bare NFT without any engagement in the Linea network would likely be naive. But on the other hand, there are distribution models where networks “bake” tokens directly into NFTs and apply specific vesting.
In any case, it’s clear this isn’t about fairness - because you didn’t even attempt to approach the matter fairly, conduct research (blockchain is an open book accessible to everyone). The obvious goal here is to cut off another allocation channel apart from LXP.
Hi @cukiezji thank you for sharing your comments, as we have previously mentioned we are open to different opinions, right now the team is gathering info so it’s perfect to share ideas we understand if you disagree, but please follow the rules and be kind and respectful to everyone, Thank you for understanding
From your messages, it’s quite obvious that you came to the forum and immediately started engaging in diversionary tactics. You’re not the first one like this. Not a single word about fighting sybils, not a word about tiers that could shift the balance towards users who burned the most money and endured hardships during the testnet and the fresh network with unstable ecosystem projects. And yet, you somehow manage to act aggressively towards others. It’s terrible that anyone even takes this seriously and plays along with such puppet accounts.
