Objective
The Linea airdrop aims to:

  1. Reward early adopters and testnet participants who helped shape the network.
  2. Incentivize active mainnet usage and engagement with the Linea ecosystem.
  3. Recognize contributions to Ethereum’s broader scalability efforts, including the KZG Ceremony.
  4. Foster a diverse and committed community to support Linea’s long-term success.

Allocation

  • Total: 10% of $LINEA supply (100M tokens),assuming a hypothetical 1 billion total supply.
  • Pools: Four categories.

Pool 1: Testnet Participants (30% of Airdrop – 30M $LINEA)

        Eligibility: Voyage NFT holders
        Bonus: +20% for Staking $LINEA at 10%APR for 6 months on TGE.
        Cap: 100-5,00 $LINEA/wallet.
        -20% if <20  linea mainnet transactions

DISQUALIFIED IF : Less than 25 testnet transactions, No ETH transactions.

Pool 2: Mainnet Activity (40% of Airdrop – 40M $LINEA)

       Eligibility: LXP holders
       Tiers: 50–3,00 $LINEA based on LXP holdings.
       Bonus: +15% for Lxp-L / l2 Bridges volume.
      -25% if <25 testnet transactions / no voyage nft.

DISQUALIFIED IF : Less than 1500 LXP.

Pool 3: Ethereum KZG Ceremony Contributors (15% of Airdrop – 15M $LINEA)

  • Purpose: Acknowledge contributors to Ethereum’s scalability roadmap, specifically the KZG Ceremony, which underpins proto-danksharding (EIP-4844) and benefits L2s like Linea.

          Eligibility: KZG Ceremony participants, POAP holders.
      Reward: 150 $LINEA/wallet, +25% for Ethereum OG +advanced contributions.
      (e.g., Days on ETH, unique entropy generation or bespoke implementations during April 1–16, 2023)

      Verification: Ceremony transcript, POAP data, etherscan data.

DISQUALIFIED IF : NO linea mainnet transactions.

Pool 4: Community and Ecosystem Engagement(15% of Airdrop – 15M $LINEA)

       7.5M $LINEA: Active members of Linea’s Discord server, capped at 50 $LINEA, with role bonuses applied.

       7.5M $LINEA: Contributors to Linea’s onchain identity ecosystem (e.g., minting Linea Names or Verax attestations etc).

DISQUALIFIED IF : Joined discord after 1 August 2024.

Rationale

  • Testnet: Rewards early risk-takers who shaped Linea’s foundation.
  • Mainnet: Drives ecosystem adoption and utility.
  • KZG Contributors: Ties Linea to Ethereum’s broader scaling efforts.
  • Community: Leverages Discord roles and social activity to build a loyal, culturally rich user base.

DISQUALIFIED FOR ALL POOLS IF : NO POH, <20 GITCOIN PASSPORT SCORE (optional).

Increase in airdrop allocation is suggested if 10% is not fitting in the final number of eligible wallets.
