I have been actively participating in Linea since its early days, including the testnet phase, where users received NFTs (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, etc.) based on their contributions. Recently, LXP was distributed to these NFT holders using a decreasing formula for multiple holdings.
While this system rewarded NFT holders, I believe it unintentionally benefited later participants more than early adopters. Early users contributed when Ethereum L2 fees were nearly 10x higher before the blob upgrade in early 2024. However, those who accumulated multiple NFTs later ended up with more LXP overall, even if they didn’t participate during the high-fee period.
My Suggestions for Fairer Distribution:
More Rewards for Early Users – Since early users supported Linea during the high-fee phase, they should receive additional rewards to acknowledge their contribution.
Multiplier or Extra Reward in a Tier-Based System – If the airdrop is based on LXP tiers, early users should still get an extra multiplier or bonus reward to ensure fair recognition.
This would balance the system and ensure that those who contributed the most in the early stages are properly rewarded. Looking forward to thoughts from the community and the team!
