Hey everyone, sorry for opening a new topic on this subject, but I have to admit that I’m a bit frustrated with some things I’ve been noticing.
To summarize: Yesterday, in my time zone, Linea hosted a live session about an NFT project (Trafficante), and today, before the mint, they officially promoted the collection on their X account. Initially, the collection had over 2,000 NFTs, but due to low demand, the developers decided to reduce that number to 1,300.
Now, I ask myself: where were those who always complain about the potential allocation of airdrops to NFT holders? Those who claim to be 100% contributors and proudly advocate for fairness towards so-called “real users,” yet, at the same time, insist that buying or minting NFTs is not a real contribution? Were they there supporting a project promoted by Linea itself, or were they only focused on the LXP airdrop they farmed? Apparently, many were just accumulating LXP and nothing more, yet ironically, they are the first to get upset when rumors or theories arise about possible additional rewards for those who buy, mint, and hold NFTs within the ecosystem.
What’s even more interesting is that today, Shama made a post saying: “Every minted out collection takes us closer to #Opensea.” In other words, whenever an NFT collection sells out, it showcases the strength of the community, engagement, interest, and contribution. This active participation brings us closer to Opensea, which could significantly boost Linea’s presence in the NFT market.
Lol, dude, what are you trying to prove to whom? Stop shaking about your airdrop already. It’s too close, everything has been decided long ago, or do you think the team will decide everything at the last moment?
Linea knows who to reward for what and why. It knows the contribution of people and knows the contribution of the community.
All this shaking over the airdrop on the forum is already quite annoying. It’s funny that those who are shaking are usually those who have never been seen in the process.
I’m not concerned about my airdrop, but it’s both funny and irritating to see so many people constantly repeating the same speech. However, when an event or mint comes up at such a crucial moment to demonstrate strength, bring Linea closer to Opensea, and support projects promoted by Linea itself, those who boast about being the “true contributors” simply don’t show up.
Whether it’s on the forum, X, or Discord, wherever you go, you’ll always find some of them. Remember: Linea success is also your success, whether you’re an NFT holder in the ecosystem, a coin holder, or any other active participant — even in your own airdrop. And NFT is where I find myself, hence the post
Allocations shouldn’t be given out just for holding any NFT. They should be earned through outstanding achievements and real contributions to the community and those closely involved. It’s not enough to simply launch a collection before TGE and attract an audience of airdrop hunters at a low price.
Doesn’t this remind you of Linea Park? Jumping into the last wagon and coming out as the smartest winner?
Over the past months, many collections have been created, but most of them are weak and useless. People will eagerly switch to Foxy because their alternative - eFrogs - is too expensive for them. Foxy, on the other hand, has name recognition and a large market cap, allowing them to spin stories about being OG and hope for a big allocation for just 0.025. But the truth is, for a project of that size, their community is also weak and thin - though that doesn’t take away from the fact that there are some worthy individuals there, albeit in small numbers.
Good point of view. Contributions to the ecosystem, activity, and project development should be evaluated, not just the mere existence of a project. The fact that some creator made pictures and collected money from the crowd doesn’t mean a real community was built or that it holds any real value.
What would “exceptional achievements and real contributions to the community, especially for those who are genuinely involved” mean to you? I’d like to know.
Contributions to the ecosystem, activity, and project development should be evaluated. What does this mean to you? And better yet, have you made or do you have this contribution to the ecosystem? And what would it be? I want to understand your points of view
What does “mean for me” have to do with it? This needs to be looked at factually and objectively. There are communities that have been online for a long time and are developing an ecosystem by developing in it, and there are just hasty imitations. Do you even read?
Most of the new communities and NFT collections are essentially communities for nothing, or more precisely for an airdrop. They are stillborn. This needs to be taken into account. Organicity and realism. Goals.
Sorry, dude, but I’m not trying to act “like active” here and I’m not farming messages, I don’t have time for empty chatter. Take all the NFT collections in Linea, find their community and analyze them, draw conclusions. Most of them have nothing and will not have anything except creating NFTs and pseudo-activities in the short term.
But there is a community with a long path and an extensive track.
Even at the level of ideas. Just take each project and ask yourself: if TGE didn’t exist very soon, would anyone buy this crap and would it all survive? And answer it honestly. For most, the answer is NO. This needs to be taken into account.
I partially understand your point of view, but I believe that NFTs can be a powerful tool when used properly. While there are indeed many collections created hastily with the sole purpose of attracting airdrop hunters, there are also genuine projects that are creating real value for their communities. Strong and sustainable communities don’t come out of nowhere; they are built through the continuous effort of individuals committed to developing the ecosystem. At Linea, yes, great NFT projects can emerge, such as Efrog and its pond.fun. I believe other projects will come, and perhaps even those already in the market, like Linpuss or even Trafficantt, among others. It’s a small market, as remember, Linea is on Element, which is extremely limited, and not on platforms like Opensea or Magic Eden. Yet
So the message I wrote is precisely for you, you talk about contributing to the ecosystem or great things, but when asked about what you did, you don’t know how to answer. Maybe those “NFT” developers that you so disdain have contributed more than you. Or even the people who voted on the Opensea discord to implement Linea have done more things than you. Or even those who do the “airdrop NFT mint that Linea promotes on their X” have contributed more than you.
And of course, both you, noobieszn, and you, bajazz, will keep supporting each other, talking about ‘real contributions’, bla bla bla bla. But when asked about what these contributions mean or if you’ve actually made those ‘grand contributions’ you talk so much about, the answer is always the same: empty talk. Congratulations, the text is exactly for both of you.
I agree, but sometimes it’s better not to get affected by these discussions. Whenever something related to airdrops comes up, there will always be those who will criticize this or that. The important thing is to keep doing what you believe in and let others follow their own paths. There’s no right or wrong way, but what brings results.
If NFTs are working for you, great! If other approaches are working for others, congratulations to them as well. In the end, everyone is aiming for the same goal (Money). So, try to maintain good energy and keep moving forward. This discussion will lead nowhere.
