I hope Linea doesn’t miss this bull run. Already many token price is dumped…

I have the suggestion ,sir. We are in a decentralized world, so it is very common for a real user to use multiple wallets to experience the project, including me. However, I spend more time and money than people with 1-2 wallets. And I also used documents from relatives and friends to obtain KYC during the testnet phase. So I hope you understand that I’m still a real user, and I spend 5-6 hours a day doing LXP tasks. And you should consider, and understand how to detect sybil. Sybil is a user, instead of doing it manually, they buy or write a program to be able to do it automatically, with a huge number of wallets (100 or even 500, 1000), a number that can not done manually (30-40 wallets). In addition, the project’s tasks are quite complex and expensive, so even though they use many wallets, they all really spend time and money to experience it. So they deserve to be rewarded for their efforts

How will you distinguish sybils from real users who started participating in LineaPark after the 4844?

The bottom line is that anyone who makes new transactions on the Linea network after March 28 considers everyone to be Sibyls. It makes no sense to use the network after upgrading to version 4.8.44, as it turns out to be complete nonsense! And this is said by a team member, how they worry about their wallets in order to take as much as possible into their pocket !

yes, all Sibyls , it’s time to stop using the networks who writes like that :grinning:

the fact is that someone started doing it later and not from the 1st quest and therefore there is a difference in the number of LXP  and to consider everyone as Sibyls after March 28 is complete nonsense !

There will be a sybil analysis and there will be action upon results. You seem to be one trying to cover his own interest, same as on discord.

This is also great idea,as community should be always first-the community is making project alive

Actually, it’s fair if they filter out all the scripters who farmed the same amount of LXP with minimal gas fees as those who completed the early quests with $5 transaction costs. Back then, there weren’t many people involved. If the drop is distributed solely to them, it will be a well-deserved reward for the hardworking ones.

partly agreed.

I think we should have more detailed classification for reward to reward farily.

It’s very simple to detect Sybils. You should introduce a minimum threshold for the amount of burned gas in the network, regardless of when a user starts participating. Create a formula based on the amount of burned gas in the network multiplied by the amount of collected LXP, and distribute the entire reward pool linearly among users according to this metric. In fact, you can even exclude LXP from consideration. The fairest distribution would be based solely on the amount of burned gas in the network, while NFTs could be awarded for LXP.

well those who started from the very beginning will have more LXP anyway.

I am not a fan of anti Sybil however it is necessary evil! Rewarding sybils actually kills the vibe and it rewards Jeetaholics who dont believe in the project. After LayerZero stringent anti sybil I saw the good and bad in the situation, of course if angered the sybils but rewarded the true believers! Imagine the additional incentives that can be deployed if there is not waste on sybils and it also encourages organic use.

Suggestion: Provide all with LXP, and for those with Sybil, it’s like compensating for gas fees. Previously, it was stated that LXP reflects contributions. If there are holders of LXP who do not receive an airdrop, I think that would be a self-contradiction and a betrayal.

ha ha, good attempt to transfer the risks of sybil farmers to the project. When will you guys disappear with your manipulations?

I am not opposed of sybil filters but Layer Zero sybil hunting was proved to be failed.
Those activity were relied on manual detection (Human). Bryan shared specific trend of sybils (he believes it is sybils) on twitter but many cases were proved as not sybils and those are because of scam token dust storm or specific NFT drop. Even after TGE, there are many false positive is proved and even CEO of Layer Zero, Bryan, acknowledged it. I think no one oppose sybil filter except industrial sybils, but the problem is setting up the filter properly to avoid situation like Layer Zero.

When you use this data for promotion, I suggest that you remember who contributed it. However, since you have secretly investigated the sibyls at least three times, I recommend using one consistent set of data for both promotion and tracing contributions and rewards.

If the data is inconsistent, it will definitely impact the project’s reputation. When early users say that Linea is not good, new users are likely to choose other options instead of using Linea.

I firmly believe that sibyls cannot be completely eliminated, and setting thresholds requires careful consideration. After the TGE, there will inevitably be a significant number of sibyls who acquire large amounts of tokens. For a project to thrive in a highly competitive environment, it needs to establish a strong reputation from the outset. Projects that fail to build a good reputation are likely to be abandoned, just like many users have already stopped using HOP.

I have also seen the team’s response regarding their careful consideration of sibyl reports and threshold settings, but I hope my voice is not overlooked. I love blockchain; it has changed my way of life. Since contributions are already recorded, I want to celebrate this collectively. More than anything, I hope Linea has a bright future, allowing us to continue using it and eventually access more practical products like the MM Card.
