I have been with Linea since the beginning and what I know so far is that team does not listen to the community at all.
They do and work on whatever they have already planned. Saying things like Delaying TGE so that we can get community feedback makes me laugh… They are not even dropping any kind of hint if they are listening. and we are making threads and and talking on discord all the time lol

Hey thirteen, thank you for raising these concerns.
As a general comment, I acknowledge that the communications on the progress have been minimal and this is not acceptable. As we shift towards the New Year, I will see to it that this improves.
To address some specific comments:
There is an incredible amount of work that goes into creating a new organization in a new jurisdiction (swiss non-profit for the Association), and then setting up the operations and staffing in a compliant manner. Linea has been incubated inside Consensys, and it’s important to understand that Consensys as a figurehead for the industry in the US is not comparable to a small start-up when it comes to these operational tasks. Externalizing a project is not a common practice.
As well, we really do want to give time to digest the community input for the airdrop and make sure we have a successful TGE. I have started working on a post that seeks to summarise the different proposals put forward to help achieve consensus in the community. I am also cautious of the influence sybil farms can have on the discourse.
This is the rationale for “end of Q1”. Of course, we are working to launch as soon as possible but we are not going to take shortcuts and therefore this is a high integrity commitment we can feasibly work towards.
As a progress update: we have been busy working on the logistical tasks for the Association. The Association has staff and we’re close to finishing the details on how the rest of the team will transfer. We’re cross-checking the data for LXP-L in order to confirm the final report. Additionally, we’re waiting for a sybil report from a parter on LXP. We hope to share a report second week of January.
The one thing I disagree with your OP is that the MM Card is a distraction. We still have to invest a lot of resources into building and supporting valuable applications and experiences on Linea in parallel to the TGE process. Showing adoption of the platform through the global expansion of the card, the increase in tokenized communities through memes, and the onboarding of blue-chip protocols, is all critical for the continued excitement and momentum for the Linea ecosystem.

Declan has laid out well the reality of setting up a decentralized entity of this magnitude. There will be more to come as soon as we can share formalized thoughts. The vision of Linea stretches decades into the future, so we are treading with care to ensure that the future designs of mechanics, community programs, and the organization within the Linea Association is set up to serve the community for decades, not years.
All while making sure we continue growing application adoption on the network.

the poh did well for sybil prevention. The activity now is setting the reasonable threshold to remove people who didn’t contribute enough to network

The POH definitely helped, as will the sybil report, but I still feel the main goal of having a min threshold would be to eliminate sybils (particularly ones that botted Linea after 4844).
If we were able to know for sure that someone is a human and they only contributed a little bit to Linea, I still think they should be rewarded. But this isn’t the reality due to the pseudonymous nature of blockchain atm, so I understand the arguments for including the threshold.

We should pay more attention to the voice of the community. If there is significant FUD during the TGE, it could have a major impact on the project, as seen with zkSync. Therefore, I believe Sybil is not that important, and the team could consider allocating a very small amount of Token.This would prevent significant FUD and would be the absolutely correct decision for the TGE. No project has ever done this before, and I believe it would receive great praise.

Maybe you guys could snapshot before 4844,those addresses have more than 5/10/20tx(you could decide the threshold) are good or should be consider multiple.
As for me I am a loyal users from testnet, this is good for me.
But what i know is defi week users are not that much. If you try to eliminate sybil influence & include enough loyal users, try txs snapshot before 4844.Some users are begin with linea park tasks from week1 to 6, if so, they are loyal,because only sybils could do all tasks in the end of week 6 right?

When you set the minimum threshold to 2000lxp for example. then it must be said that the contribution is not enough. People won’t complain.

The poh is done well, 1m3 wallets compare with 2m of strk or 3m of zks, now should do the filter the big group of wallets (50-100 wallet or above), which is impossible for one user to do manually. And set the threshold around 2000lxp. Please consider sir!

in your opinion a real user is one who used the network before 4844? then why was it necessary to make this update? then why would anyone use this network now? after the update all new users = sybils? oh well cool, announce this to everyone and say that there is no point in new users using the network, since according to the team they are all sybils

It’s not about being a real user, it’s about rewarding those who really put in the effort. It was very easy to mint simple nft’s on the Linea network recently, but collecting every single lxp used to be very difficult.

I like the detailed information.
Tokenomics is the most important thing for long term business.
It is always hard to compare one project to others since all projects are different.
Not apple to apple comparison. Hope Linea team give the best result.
