The Linea testnet was handled quite well (Testnet Voyage 9 weeks). It used Galxe to divide tiers, which was very clear, specific, and not complicated. It didn’t differentiate based on the number of transactions or the cost of testnet gas. It simply used a Galxe score threshold to distribute NFTs.
Mainnet:
Entertainment Festival (1 month)
DeFi Voyage (6 weeks)
Linea Park (6 weeks)
Proof of Humanity
Linea Surge (6 months)
Voyage NFT snapshot (LXP distribution)
Culture SZN (5 weeks)
=> All these tasks convert to LXP, except for Linea Surge.
So why not do it the same way as the testnet? Use LXP as the base and then use an LXP threshold as a multiplier.
A simple, effective, and fair calculation for everyone. A difference of $10, $20, $30, or $40 doesn’t make much of a difference! Regular users who are genuinely grinding don’t have a lot of money to spend on gas! Everyone doing airdrops is trying to earn money and spending their time. If they were already rich, they wouldn’t have to work so hard for airdrops!
