Open Question: What is a problem statement within Linea that data can address?

Hey everyone.

Apologies for the clickbait open question.

I am here to ask the community – is there a problem statement that data can help address? Happy to engage with the community either here or elsewhere to discuss this. Tried popping the question on Discord, but left because of too much noise.

Few examples of what I mean:

  1. The community is curious about which DEX is the best to trade on. A dashboard that shows DEX-metrics could address this.

  2. Linea is progressing toward decentralization. A Decentralization Progress Dashboard could be a powerful tool for Linea, focusing on the distribution and participation metrics of validators and block proposers over time.

Or something else the community is looking for.

About me:

I am a research analyst at PYOR, an onchain data company. We work with the likes of Arbitrum and Cosmos for their data needs. We’ve build data solutions to track governance, capital efficiency, and DEX metrics.

Happy to chat with the Linea community to see what we can build (if this post gets approved).

To the best of my ability I’ll try and give my take, Data can only try at least to an extent but genuine feedback from the community can not be over emphasized. I’ve been in this space for a while now and I have seen Arbitrum and a whole lot of L2s come to that stage of decentralization. I do not want to sound bias so I’ll rather not get into what and what not went wrong. However Jup is the perfect example of using Data and also still engaging her community using on ground metrics and engagement, at the end it was a success in my opinion. I believe Linea has all it takes to walk this part and with our help we will definitely create history

Thanks for your response! I agree that genuine community feedback is invaluable. In that effort, data can present insights. For instance, the dashboard we’re building for Arbitrum shows which of the 120+ protocols that received funding from the foundation positively contributed to the L2 (based on fees, TVL, and users retained). This helped strengthen community ties and capital allocation.

I’d love to explore ways we can support Linea’s journey toward decentralization with both data insights and community-focused metrics.

If there’s a particular area you think would benefit from a dashboard, or if anyone here has ideas on what would serve the community best, feel free to share. And if you could – please tag the community member in charge of initiatives like this.

Hi @AakashPYOR, thank you for sharing your comments, the topics you mentioned above are really interesting. Here you can find the link to submit a project Welcome to the Linea Project Submission Form! in case you are interested in it :blue_heart:

Thanks, Star for the update. I will fill out the form. Is there anyone I can reach out to specifically to make the process easier for the Linea community?
