Linea's Airdrop: Proving Critics Wrong and Rewarding the Loyal

Hello everyone!

I’ve been noticing a lot of negativity towards the Linea on X. I’m not sure why people are so quick to undermine it. Maybe it’s because influencers have been promoting this narrative, or perhaps it’s simply because the team behind it doesn’t fit the narrative that some people want to believe. Some might not appreciate their well-meaning intentions and would rather follow teams that feed them illusions and empty phrases like “the end game.”

What I’ve seen from the Linea team, from the very beginning is authenticity. They launched campaigns, rewarding users with LXPs, and we all know these LXP will eventually translate into an airdrop, without any hidden tricks or shady moves like some other teams pull. maybe whales don’t like this as they prefer to use their financial advantage to climb quickly. Linea has made this difficult for them which could explain the excessive criticism the network is facing.

On the other hand, I see networks like Base that heavily milking users without a clear goal. They recently announced that there will be no token and no airdrop at all, and yet I haven’t seen any significant backlash or outrage. If Linea had said this I believe it would have been trending on X. It’s really frustrating how differently the two networks are treated.

I truly admire this team for their transparency and integrity from the very beginning. Their approach to campaigns has been competitive and enjoyable, and through it, I’ve discovered aspects of Web3 that I wasn’t aware of before. It saddens me that Linea isn’t receiving the massive hype it deserves especially considering the harsh criticisms it faces.

The team still has the opportunity to push forward, proving their vision and silencing the critics, demonstrating the power of their conviction and their ability to rise above the noise and distributes the biggest airdrop in L2s history to those who have believed in Linea and stayed active along the way. While I’ll personally benefit a lot from this but my true satisfaction comes from seeing the critics who have ignored and belittled this network finally be silenced by its success It’s deeply satisfying to know that those who underestimated Linea made the mistake of choosing the wrong team to go up against in such a foolish manner. This sense of vindication seeing them realize their mistakes, is what truly matters to me—more than any personal gain. Linea and its loyal community are like my family in the Web3 space and I can’t stand to see anyone underestimate them.

The negativity comes from the sybil community and internet beggars, because bloggers sold them the idea of earning 100x in a couple of months, and the drop has to wait a long time. Most of the negative people are not aware of the ecosystem and the processes happening inside.

This is not something to pay attention to.

As has been said many times, Linea did not attract VC/KOLs and grew organically. The Sybil community is not used to this, they need top-down narratives about the prospects of quick wealth.

I completely agree the sybil community are drawn to those who deceive them with empty promises and the illusion of quick wealth, as seen with projects like Zksync and Scroll they said the community is everything and these projects have bought influencers’ loyalties, making farmers believe that these networks are about to distribute massive airdrops, misleading the sybil community into blind farming.

once the airdrop happened they woke up from their delusions and realized they had been exploited as the cake was split between the team and VCs/KOLs.
I have full confidence in this team because they work quietly without making misleading promises or buying influencers to attract these farmers their steps have been transparent and clear throughout the campaigns in the past two years. I believe they will do an amazing airdrop and those who doubted will regret it deeply.
