Every project has its own unique feature that makes it shine. Some are fast, some are private, some are secure, some have hype, some have the best community, some have strong VC backing, some have the best team, and some are simply innovative. However, these qualities rarely come as a complete package, and as we’ve seen with many poor examples, there’s always a way to mess things up.
Bad examples provide valuable experience. It’s the most expensive lesson if you don’t learn from it before it’s too late, but if you do, it becomes the cheapest and most advantageous insight. I’m simply inviting the team to observe and learn from others’ mistakes to create a solid strategy.
Some projects were copycats.
Some couldn’t fulfill their community’s expectations.
Some created excessive expectations.
Some couldn’t establish a clear narrative.
Some were just ghost chains.
Some sold themselves out to VC firms.
Some failed to engage on-chain.
Some had no real use case.
Some weren’t organic.
Some weren’t fair.
For most of users, the goal is the $. But forget about the $$ and 100x returns on fees that’s not my point. I genuinely don’t want to see Linea stumble over any of these issues. I’m truly having fun #onlinea, and if I’m enjoying it this much even in its pre-decentralized form, I can’t imagine how incredible it will be post-decentralization. I’ve learned a lot from the zkEVM private testnet and the Galxe campaigns. We have a fantastic community, and it’s filled with good vibes only.
So far, we are:
Fast, secure, and affordable
Educational
Fair
Organic
Culture
Supported by top developers
Equipped with daily use cases like the MetaMask debit card
Innovative, both in the team and in the community
In short, we have a real chance to become the Home Network of the World.
We are a blend of all these positive qualities, so in my humble opinion, we should take a new approach to distribution criteria, combining them just as we’ve combined so many good things.
Lastly, thank you all for your time and hard work. Keep it up!
