# Immediate Snapshot for Airdrop Eligibility to Prevent Sybil Farming

With the **1,500 LXP minimum requirement** and **multichain activity** now widely discussed across **Twitter and Telegram** , it is crucial for the **Linea team** to take a **snapshot immediately**.

### **Reasoning:**

1. **Prevention of Last-Minute Sybil Farming** – Now that multichain activity is being considered, **Sybil farmers** will start **artificially inflating** their transaction history, making it harder to **differentiate real users** from Sybils later.
2. **Ensuring Fairness** – Many **genuine users** have been active and **engaged for months**. Allowing Sybils to farm transactions now would **dilute the rewards** for actual contributors.
3. **Historical Activity Matters** – Airdrops should **reward long-term users** , not those who **rush to exploit criteria** at the last minute.

### **Proposed Action:**

- **Take an immediate snapshot** of user activity, both on **Linea and other chains** , to lock in eligibility based on **organic engagement**.
- **Use historical data** rather than recent activity to assess multichain footprints and prevent last-minute farming.
- **Announce the snapshot publicly** to discourage manipulation and ensure a **fair distribution.**

By taking action now, the Linea team can **maintain the integrity of the airdrop** and ensure that rewards go to **real contributors, not last-minute opportunists.**

Absolutely agree with this.

And I might add besides the multichain activity ( the farmers/sybils can just move on to the next airdrop like bera, story etc simulating activity) , the team should also check if there was any activity after the lxp campaign ended on linea mainnet.
